Truebeck Awarded Marin Country Day School Project
We are excited to announce a new project award in partnership with EHDD Architecture – the Marin Country Day School (MCDS) New Classroom Building. MCDS is an independent K-8 coed day school enrolling 595 students at a 35-acre campus in Corte Madera, California. The school’s mission, underscored by their core values of respect, responsibility and compassion, asks children to become skilled learners and ethical human beings motivated to make a difference in the world.
Their campus redevelopment will include a new two-story classroom and science building. The facility is built into a hillside and involves significant rock excavation. Additional work includes the installation of temporary modular classrooms and the remodel of 2,000-5,000sf of existing classroom and faculty lounge areas. Truebeck will also be undertaking extensive site improvements consisting of two new sports fields, a parking area, underground utilities, and a complete creek restoration. The project is anticipated to achieve LEED Platinum and Net Zero certification.
